Advent Family Worship- Day 2

Begin by singing “O Come, O Come Emmanuel”

Light the first Advent candle and ask, “What was our theme from last week?” The answer is JOY.

Light the second Advent candle and ask, “What is our theme this week?” The answer is FAITH.

Read Revelation 19: 11-16 together. 

• Q. How is Jesus pictured in these verses? What is he doing?
• Q. Have you ever watched a battle scene in a movie? What’s your favorite? What are battles like?

Read Revelation 20:1-3.

• Q. Who is Satan? What is he like? (Have a discussion about spiritual forces of evil. Try to do this without scaring the little children.)

• Q. What did Jesus do to Satan (and evil) in the Incarnation? (We talked about this in the sermon.)
• Q. What will Jesus do to Satan (and evil) when he comes again?

Stop and pray. Thank Jesus that he has disarmed Satan. Ask him to come again quickly to finally and forever rid the world of evil.
