Sin is slavery. Salvation is rescue from making anything more important than God.

There is an ultimate Moses and an ultimate Exodus.

Discussion Questions

1. Where does God seem most hidden to you right now?
2. Do you believe that God sees you? Do you believe that your sadness prevails upon His heart? If that is a struggle for you, how does the gospel help you believe that God saves?
3. We said in the sermon that salvation is rescue from serving anything in your life as more important than God. What are you most tempted to serve? How has serving that idol turned you into a slave? How are your idols failing you?
4. Serving anything other than God is slavery. But serving God is freedom. What is true freedom? How does the Bible’s definition of freedom collide with our culture’s definition of freedom?
