Redeemer’s mission is to make Jesus’ invisible kingdom visible in Winter Haven and the world. One of the ways that we can play a part in God’s redeeming of Winter Haven is through serving our community. Below are our missional partners and a brief description about their work.
Heart for Winter Haven
Heart for Winter Haven is a faith-based, non-profit committed to building a connected community of churches, non-profits and businesses that can take better care of vulnerable people in our community. They have a volunteer center called VOLUNTEERhere! that is located in downtown Winter Haven.
LifeChoice Pregnancy Center
LifeChoice Pregnancy Center is a ministry devoted to building relationships and sharing the gospel with women who experience unplanned pregnancies and are considering abortion. LifeChoice offers pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, post-abortion counseling, and material resources through a program called “Earn While You Learn.” If you are interested in volunteering with LifeChoice, call Vicki Lynn at 863-293-0955.
Meals on Wheels
Meals on Wheels seeks to provide a hot meal to shut-ins and elderly members of our community who cannot prepare meals for themselves any longer. Often times, these members of our society are forgotten and do not even have family around to care for them. If you are intrested in serving this ministry, please consider being a driver for them. Call Holly Wampler at 863-299-1616.
Located across Dundee Road from Redeemer’s facilities, Elbert welcomes volunteers who desire to mentor students, tutor in reading and math, work in classrooms, or just come read a book to a group of students. You must be an approved volunteer with the Polk School District – if interested contact Rachel Lutz.
